RIMEX was founded in 1976 with a vision to make a difference, and today, we continue that legacy by supporting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada (LLSC). In memory of our founder, Chris Weston, who passed away from a rare blood cancer in 2017, we have raised over $140,000 for LLSC through various fundraising events.
This year’s car and motorcycle show will be a vibrant community event featuring trophies for top cars and bikes, family entertainment, food trucks, vendors, a DJ, and a 50/50 draw. The event is staffed by volunteers, mostly RIMEX employees, with 100% of all non-gaming proceeds donated to LLSC’s ongoing research efforts to find a cure for blood cancers. All gaming proceeds will be donated to the food bank.

“/stāj/ 3.0” presents a space where food scraps become sculpture, and where knowledge is reimagined through collaboration and play.

As an interactive installation, /stāj/ 3.0 invites the public to step into the role of researcher, engaging in acts of cooking, art-making, and scientific experimentation. Visitors will be encouraged to draw from their own lived experiences, collaborating with the artist and each other to challenge binaries between scientific “objectivity” and other less valued ways of knowing.

/stāj/ 3.0 runs from September 5 – 14 at Fort Langley Community Hall, 9167 Glover Road, Langley Twp, BC. Gwenyth Chao’s exhibition will be activated by a series of events throughout the ten day run. All events are free and open to the public.

Get ready for a wildly good time! Our “zoo”nique adults-only event is returning this September, and it’s going to be better than ever.

Unlock the secrets of professional pastry with our hands-on “Croissants for Days” class. Laminated dough is the cornerstone of bakery-quality croissants, Danishes, and puff pastry, known for its airy, buttery, and beautifully layered results. This class goes beyond the recipe, teaching you the foundational techniques that transform simple ingredients into edible art.

What You’ll Learn:

The Science of Lamination: Understand how butter and dough work together to create those perfect, flaky layers. We’ll cover the roles of dough elasticity, butter plasticity, and steam in the lamination process.

Essential Techniques: Master the “turns” — the rolling and folding process that creates the characteristic layers of laminated dough. You’ll learn the difference between single and double folds and why rest periods are just as important as the rolling itself.

Hands-On Practice: You’ll work in pairs to prepare your own dough (détrempe) and butter block (beurrage), then practice the lamination process. You’ll learn to shape your creations into classic croissants or Danishes, and we’ll bake them to a golden, flaky finish.

Troubleshooting: We’ll address common issues like butter leakage, uneven layers, and over-proofing, giving you the confidence to fix problems and achieve perfect results every time.

Browse over 50 local vendors, enjoy food truck fare, live music and relax in the beer garden. From handmade goods to vintage finds, it’s the perfect way to spend a summer evening in Langley.
