For a limited time, explore a new feature exhibit highlighting the life of Chief Dan George—Tsleil-Waututh leader, actor, and activist—whose voice called for justice, reconciliation, and Indigenous pride.

The exhibit officially opens on the second floor of the Big House on May 28, 2025, and runs until September 14, 2025. Entry is included in general admission.

Chief Dan George: Actor and Activist is a travelling exhibit created by MONOVA: Museum & Archives of North Vancouver.

“/stāj/ 3.0” presents a space where food scraps become sculpture, and where knowledge is reimagined through collaboration and play.

As an interactive installation, /stāj/ 3.0 invites the public to step into the role of researcher, engaging in acts of cooking, art-making, and scientific experimentation. Visitors will be encouraged to draw from their own lived experiences, collaborating with the artist and each other to challenge binaries between scientific “objectivity” and other less valued ways of knowing.

/stāj/ 3.0 runs from September 5 – 14 at Fort Langley Community Hall, 9167 Glover Road, Langley Twp, BC. Gwenyth Chao’s exhibition will be activated by a series of events throughout the ten day run. All events are free and open to the public.
